Best Times for 360 Leadership Evaluations by Sport Season

 

The offseason, preseason, and early season are typically the best times to provide your leaders with 360 Feedback. This time frame allows your leaders to discover their strengths and areas to improve, develop an effective Leadership Development Plan, and most importantly, apply what they learned to help your team throughout your season.

 

Fall Sports Leaders = Best time frame is January thru September
Winter Sports Leaders = Best time frame is April thru December
Spring Sports Leaders = Best time frame is June thru February  

Some teams will do the 360 Leadership Evaluation for their likely new team leaders just after the end of their competitive season so their leaders can use the insights early on to improve their skills throughout the offseason and step up and lead during the all-important offseason training time. They then do a second 360 Leadership Evaluation early in their competitive season to see how well the leaders have applied the leadership skills and make continued improvements as they shoulder the primary leadership load heading into the bulk of your season.
